GAME STATISTICS

PASADENA (9-11-2018) – Up until Tuesday's non-conference game at Pasadena City College, Palomar's women's soccer team has played decent defense but has had all kinds of problems trying to get on the scoreboard.

That was until Yuliana Sanchez, a sophomore forward out of Fallbrook High School, gave the Comets their first real offensive boost of the season, scoring both goals in a 2-2 draw with the Lancers.

Sanchez, getting off two shots on goal, scored on both attempts for coach Hector Hernandez's squad, putting the ball into the net on a 5-yard sideline shot in the fifth minute and on a short upper corner attempt in the 23rd minute to give Palomar a 2-0 lead.

Pasadena eventually tied the match on a pair of goals by Katy Coats in the 72nd and 79th minute, denying the Comets their first victory of the season in five matches.

Katie Stark played the first 84 minutes in goal for the Comets and recorded four saves against the Lancers. Rosey Lopez then came into the game and notched a save on Pasadena's only shot on goal against her.
