Comets finish second in Eagle Classic

SAN JACINTO (3/8/2019) -- The Comets were on the road for their second conference tournament of the year at Soboba Springs Golf Course for the Mt. San Jacinto Eagle Classic.

Palomar finished second with a total score of 378, just two strokes behind Cypress.

Comet Kyoshsiro Azumada was the Low Medalist in the tournament with a score of 71, 1-under-par. This is the fourth time this season Azumada has finished as the Low Medalist (Point Conception Open at La Purisma, Cuyamaca Invitational at Singing Hills, Riverside Invitational at Victoria Country Club and Eagle Classic).

Jacob Montes shot 75, followed by Zach Brown who scored 76. Alex Rhee and Richard Jeppesen rounded out the team with scores of 77 and 79, respectively.

The men will be back in action Monday at Morongo Golf Course at 11 a.m.
