SAN MARCOS, CA (9/12/2025) -- Palomar men's soccer couldn't hold on to an early lead Friday night, dropping a 3-1 decision to El Camino College at Minkoff Field.
The Comets grabbed momentum just before halftime when Ismael Zavala converted a penalty kick in the 45th minute, sending Palomar into the break with a 1-0 advantage.
El Camino answered back after the restart, equalizing in the 58th minute and then pulling ahead on a penalty kick of their own ten minutes later. The Warriors sealed the result in stoppage time with a third goal, handing the Comets their third loss of the season.
Palomar (1-3-2) will look to rebound quickly as they hit the road to face Orange Coast College on Tuesday.
