Men’s Volleyball Drops Four-Set Match at Antelope Valley, Prepares for Quad at Grossmont
LANCASTER, CA (2/13/2026) -- Palomar men's volleyball fell in four sets Friday night at Antelope Valley College, dropping the match 25-18, 25-27, 25-19, 25-18.
After falling in the opening set, the Comets responded with a strong offensive showing in the second, hitting .286 to extend the match. Antelope Valley regained control in the final two sets to secure the win.
Aiden Gardiner and Connor Ferguson led Palomar with eight kills apiece. Gardiner added four block assists, while Ferguson contributed two blocks and a service ace. Paul Kozmiski also tallied eight kills and four block assists, finishing with 10 points. Tyler Smith added six kills and five digs in the effort.
Todd Clemens directed the offense with 30 assists and added a service ace and a solo block, while the Comets totaled 34 digs and 12 team blocks as they battled defensively throughout the night.
Palomar will return to action Friday at Grossmont College for a quad event. The Comets are scheduled to face Santa Barbara City College at 10 a.m. before taking on Moorpark College at 1 p.m.
