Men’s Volleyball Falls to Irvine Valley, Heads to Golden West for Road Match
SAN MARCOS, CA (3/20/2026) -- Palomar men's volleyball dropped a straight-set decision Friday night to Irvine Valley College, falling 25-17, 25-21, 25-17.
The Comets showed improvement in the second set, keeping things close late, but Irvine Valley's efficient attack proved to be the difference throughout the match. Palomar finished with 19 kills and eight service aces while continuing to compete in conference play .
Josh Garland led the Comets with five kills on a .235 hitting percentage, while Connor Ferguson added four kills. Paul Kozmiski contributed three kills and two block assists, and Ceddrick Chanchic chipped in two kills and an ace.
Setter Todd Clemens recorded 10 assists and eight digs, while Robert Pukahi made an impact from the service line with three aces. Defensively, Palomar totaled 23 digs as they worked to extend rallies against a strong Irvine Valley squad .
Palomar will hit the road next, traveling to face Golden West College in its next conference matchup.
