Comets cruise in first-ever dual meet
Comets fans, alumni, and supporters,
This past Thursday, we had our first-ever dual meet competitions against Fresno City College and Cerritos College. Additionally, Sierra Mefford participated in the league's very first "super match," in which two number one ranked wrestlers in different weight classes wrestled off.

- Anya Rodriguez won by fall vs. Savanah Valle
- Jaylene Martinez won by fall vs. Santana Gonzales

As I told the team, the day was about the small victories and making an effort to practice the right habits. I thought we did an outstanding job fighting through every match, especially in such a high-energy environment. I'm confident that we're on track to finish the season strong at the state tournament on April 22nd!
Our philosophy: it's not about today but what we do today to prepare for state!

First Set of CCCAA Women's Wrestling Rankings
The very first set of rankings is out for women's wrestling in the CCCAA.
All five of our wrestlers are ranked:
- 123: Alexa Rosales, 3rd
- 128: Anastasia Tolentino, 4th
- 136: Anya Rodriguez, 4th
- 148: Santana Gonzales, HM
- 160: Sierra Mefford, 1st
We're looking to carry this momentum into the postseason in a few weeks.
