Pomare Shines as Comets Stay Perfect with 96-82 Win Over Victor Valley
VICTORVILLE, CA (11/4/2025) -- The Comets kept the early-season momentum rolling with a 96-82 road win over Victor Valley College on Tuesday night, improving to 3-0 on the season.
Isaiah Pomare made his presence felt in a big way, leading all scorers with 26 points and 10 rebounds in his first major outing of the year. The sophomore guard was nearly unstoppable, shooting 10-for-15 from the field and knocking down four triples while adding six steals and a block to his stat line.
Angel Ochoa orchestrated the offense with 18 points and nine assists, pushing the pace and finding teammates in transition. Benjie Nudo continued his hot start off the bench with 16 points, while Jaidyn Norman and Justin White each added 10 points.
The Comets shot a season-best 57.6 percent from the floor, 50 percent from three, and 86 percent from the line, while racking up 22 assists and 15 steals as a team.
Palomar (3-0) will have a short break before returning to action on November 15 when they travel to face Mt. San Jacinto College in another non-conference road test.
