Comets Drop First Game of the Season to Mt. San Jacinto

SAN JACINTO, CA (11/15/2025) -- The Comets suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday afternoon, falling 90-76 to undefeated Mt. San Jacinto College in a battle of two of the state's early contenders.

Despite the setback, Isaiah Pomare delivered another standout performance, posting a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds, while adding two blocks and a steal. Justin White followed with 17 points and seven boards, continuing his strong presence in the paint.

Jaidyn Norman hit a pair of threes on his way to 14 points, and Benjie Nudo provided 14 points off the bench, knocking down all six of his free throws. Angel Ochoa added five points and seven assists, helping keep the offense steady against the Eagles' relentless pressure.

The Comets shot 45 percent from the floor and outrebounded Mt. San Jacinto on the offensive glass, but couldn't overcome the Eagles' hot shooting from deep (41 percent) and 82 percent mark from the line.

Palomar (3-1) will look to bounce back when they travel to Moorpark College on Tuesday.
