Comets Fall to No. 3 Fullerton, Set Sights on Road Test at No. 9 Santiago Canyon

SAN MARCOS, CA (11/29/2025) -- In another matchup against one of the state's elite programs, No. 25 Palomar battled but ultimately fell to No. 3 Fullerton College, 79–57, on Saturday afternoon inside the Dome.

The Comets hung tough through a physical first half and trailed by just four at the break, but the Hornets caught fire in the second period, shooting 65.5% from the field after halftime, and pulled away late.

Benjie Nudo led Palomar with an impressive 21 points off the bench, knocking down three threes and providing the spark the Comets needed to stay within striking distance early. Isaiah Pomare added 15 points and eight rebounds, and Jaidyn Norman chipped in eight points and seven boards.

Justin White posted six points and seven rebounds, while Angel Ochoa finished with four points and an assist as the Comets worked to keep pace with Fullerton's size and efficiency inside.

Palomar finished the afternoon shooting 38.5% from the field, while the Hornets held a 42–28 advantage in the paint.

With the loss, the Comets move to 4–3 overall and now turn their attention to a major road challenge on Tuesday when they travel to face No. 9 Santiago Canyon College for a 5 p.m. tip.
