SAN MARCOS, CA (2/20/2026) -- Palomar closed out the regular season Friday night with an 83–96 loss to conference champion San Diego City College inside the Dome.
The Comets trailed 42–29 at halftime before battling back in the second half, matching the Knights with 54 points over the final 20 minutes. Despite the improved offensive rhythm after the break, San Diego City's efficiency from the perimeter and inside the paint proved too much to overcome.
Isaiah Pomare led Palomar with 25 points and eight rebounds, knocking down four three-pointers in a strong offensive effort. Angel Ochoa added 19 points and seven assists, while Jaidyn Norman contributed 18 points, connecting on five shots from beyond the arc.
Justin White chipped in nine points and eight rebounds, and the Comets finished 13-of-36 from three while shooting a solid 87% from the free-throw line. However, San Diego City's 49.3% shooting from the field and 47.8% from deep created separation early.
With the loss, Palomar finishes the regular season at 18–10 overall and 10–6 in PCAC play.
The Comets now turn their focus to the postseason, with playoff seeding information set to be released Sunday afternoon as they await their path in the Southern California Regional bracket.
