SAN MARCOS, CA (8/29/2025) -- Back at Minkoff Field on Friday evening, Palomar women's soccer showed resilience in their second match of the season, earning a 1-1 draw against LA Pierce College.
The Brahmas struck first in the 20th minute, but the Comets wasted little time finding their answer. Less than eight minutes later, Lizzy Cook buried the equalizer off a setup from Keela Farnum, bringing the home crowd to life.
From there, Palomar's defense tightened, and goalkeeper Nathalie Mancilla stood tall with nine saves to keep the match even. Despite outshooting Pierce and generating chances in the second half, the Comets couldn't break the deadlock, settling for the tie.
