Comets Edge Crafton Hills in Conference Opener

SAN MARCOS, CA (9//17/2025) -- Palomar women's water polo opened conference play in dramatic fashion, rallying late to secure a 15-14 victory over Crafton Hills College on Wednesday afternoon at Wallace Memorial Pool.

Malia Hanss powered the Comet offense with five goals and an assist, including the game-winner in the closing minutes. McKynley McCulloch and Renne Provencal each added three goals, while Keyanna Mucino scored twice and dished out an assist.

Kaylin Mihelich and Tessa Ferragamo rounded out the scoring, while Ruby Jones anchored the defense with six steals. In goal, Savannah Walker finished with four saves to help preserve the win.

Palomar (3-2, 1-0 PCAC) will ride the momentum into this weekend as they travel for the San Diego Miramar College Mini Tournament beginning Friday.
