SAN MARCOS, CA (1/3/2026) -- No. 24 Palomar put together its most complete performance of conference play on Saturday night, rolling past San Diego Mesa College 109–67 inside the Dome to improve to 2–0 in PCAC action.
The Comets set the tone early, jumping out to a 54–33 halftime lead before continuing to pour it on in the second half. Palomar shot 51.3% from the field and knocked down 15 three-pointers, spreading the scoring across the lineup and overwhelming Mesa with pace and depth.
Isaiah Pomare led the way with 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Tore-Andre Gray followed with 22 points on an efficient 9-of-12 shooting night. Angel Ochoa added 14 points, six assists, and four steals, and Jaidyn Norman chipped in 14 points, hitting four shots from beyond the arc.
Off the bench, Benjie Nudo delivered 12 points and nine rebounds, and Palomar finished with 37 bench points while also holding a 54–40 rebounding advantage.
With the win, Palomar improves to 10–4 overall and 2–0 in PCAC play, continuing to build momentum as conference action ramps up.
The Comets will hit the road next, traveling to face Cuyamaca College on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. conference matchup.
