Comets Set Program Scoring Record in 129–62 Rout of Imperial Valley

SAN MARCOS, CA (1/14/2026) -- Palomar put together a historic performance on Wednesday night, breaking the program record for points in a game with a dominant 129–62 victory over Imperial Valley College inside the Dome.

The Comets were in control from the opening tip, racing out to a 61–25 halftime lead before erupting for 68 second-half points. Palomar finished the night shooting 59.6% from the field, including a blistering 71.8% in the second half, while overwhelming Imperial Valley with pace, depth, and ball movement.

Tore-Andre Gray led all scorers with 22 points, adding six rebounds and four steals in just 20 minutes. Jaidyn Norman followed with 17 points and eight rebounds, while Angel Ochoa and Isaiah Pomare each chipped in 16 points. Benjie Nudo added 16 points and four assists, and Justin White finished with 13 points.

Palomar showcased its depth with 69 bench points, scored 84 points in the paint, and converted Imperial Valley turnovers into 46 points, turning defense into offense throughout the night. Eleven Comets scored, and nine players finished with at least seven points.

With the win, Palomar improves to 12–5 overall and 4–1 in PCAC play, continuing its push near the top of the conference standings.

The Comets will hit the road next, traveling to face Grossmont College on Friday for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
