Kozlowski’s Hat Trick Powers Comets Past Mesa

SAN MARCOS, CA (10/14/2025) -- Palomar men's soccer stayed red-hot Tuesday night, defeating San Diego Mesa College 4-2 at Minkoff Field to remain unbeaten in conference play.

The Olympians struck first in the fifth minute, but the Comets quickly flipped the momentum behind Jakub Kozlowski, who recorded his second hat trick in the last three matches. Kozlowski scored three times in a seven-minute stretch, with all three goals assisted by Felix Hamm, to give Palomar a 3-1 lead at halftime.

In the second half, Artem Sydorenko extended the advantage in the 62nd minute off a setup from Dylan Bissember before Mesa answered two minutes later. The Comets' defense held firm from there, closing out the win to stay atop the PCAC standings.

Goalkeeper Bruin Bailey earned another victory in net as Palomar (7-3-3, 5-0-1 PCAC) pushed its unbeaten streak to eight matches.

The Comets will travel to Cuyamaca College on Friday to close out the first round of conference play.
