No. 6 Palomar Overpowers West LA on the Road
CULVER CITY, CA (11/22/2025) -- The No. 6-ranked Palomar Comets continued their dominant November stretch with a commanding 98–31 road win over West Los Angeles College on Saturday evening, extending their win streak to four games.
Palomar exploded out of the gate with a 27-point first quarter, then followed with a 30-point second, building an insurmountable 57–12 halftime lead. The Comets overwhelmed West LA with pace, defensive pressure, and a deep rotation that saw every player contribute.
Kylee Trujillo delivered another standout performance, dropping 30 points on 8-of-17 shooting and a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line, while adding three assists and two steals. Kami Gillis stayed red-hot from distance, knocking down six threes for 19 points, and Ivorii Seals added 12 points and seven rebounds.
Inside, Kailani Flournoy and Luciana Aguilar dominated the boards — each finishing with 13 rebounds — as Palomar controlled the glass 52–35 and poured in 46 points in the paint. The Comets also forced 31 turnovers, converting them into 37 points, while racking up 22 fast-break points to keep the pressure on all night.
Palomar improves to 5–1 and will now turn its attention to a marquee early-season matchup. The Comets travel to face No. 13 Mt. San Jacinto College on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. tipoff.
