Palomar Takes Down San Diego Mesa on the Road, Stays Near Top of Conference

SAN DIEGO, CA (2/4/2026) -- The Palomar women's basketball team picked up another key Pacific Coast Athletic Conference road win Wednesday night, defeating San Diego Mesa College 81–70 at Mesa Gym to continue its strong conference push.

After trailing by four at the end of the first quarter, Palomar flipped the momentum with a dominant 25–9 second quarter, taking control of the game before holding off Mesa's late push. The Comets answered every run, closing the night with a strong fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Ivorii Seals led all scorers with 23 points, while Kylee Trujillo added 17 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks. Kailani Flournoy delivered another dominant effort on the glass, finishing with 15 points and 18 rebounds, and ReeRee Davis filled the stat sheet with a double-double of 10 points and 10 assists, along with seven steals.

Kami Gillis provided a spark off the bench with 15 points, knocking down five three-pointers, as Palomar shot 43.9% from the field and won the rebounding battle 43–37. The Comets also forced 23 turnovers, turning defense into timely scoring throughout the night.

With the win, Palomar improves to 7–1 in conference play and will return home on Friday night for a 5 p.m. tipoff against Southwestern College as conference action continues inside The Dome.
