SAN DIEGO, CA (2/18/2026) -- The Palomar women's basketball team delivered a statement performance Wednesday night, cruising past San Diego City College 82–36 at Harry West Gym to secure another key Pacific Coast Athletic Conference road victory.
The Comets overwhelmed the Knights from the opening tip, holding City to just two first-quarter points while building a commanding 26–2 lead after the first 10 minutes. Palomar continued to apply defensive pressure throughout the first half, taking a 45–6 advantage into halftime and never allowing City to recover.
Kami Gillis led the offensive charge with 20 points, knocking down six three-pointers. Ivorii Seals added 15 points and seven assists, while Kylee Trujillo contributed 14 points. Inside, Kailani Flournoy dominated the glass with 19 rebounds to go along with 12 points, recording another double-double and helping Palomar control the boards 49–43.
Palomar forced 29 turnovers, converting them into 30 points, and outscored City 36–14 in the paint. The Comets also received strong bench production, totaling 30 bench points in the balanced road win.
With the victory, Palomar improves to 19–7 overall and 10–1 in conference play. The Comets will close out the regular season on Friday at home against MiraCosta College in what could be a pivotal matchup inside The Dome.
