CHULA VISTA, CA (1/14/2026) -- The Palomar women's basketball team continued its strong start to Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play on Wednesday night, cruising to a 108–61 road victory over Southwestern College at The Den.
The Comets wasted no time asserting control, scoring 25 points in the first quarter and exploding for 35 points in the second to build a commanding halftime lead. Palomar maintained the pressure in the second half, finishing with four players in double figures and showcasing its depth, ball movement, and defensive intensity.
Kylee Trujillo led the way with a game-high 32 points, knocking down five three-pointers and adding two steals. Ivorii Seals delivered another efficient performance with 21 points and seven assists, while Kami Gillis came off the bench to score 18 points, including five threes. Kailani Flournoy added 12 points and eight rebounds in a balanced interior effort.
Palomar shot 45.6% from the field, forced 28 turnovers, and turned them into 34 points, while also dominating the paint 52–20. The Comets finished with 29 assists and 23 steals, highlighting a complete team performance on both ends of the floor.
Now 12–6 overall and 3–0 in conference play, Palomar will return home on Friday night for a 6 p.m. tipoff against Imperial Valley College as conference action continues inside The Dome.
